| A nice string of reasonably well matched blacks with white stripes. We should appreciate the skill and precision involved in accurately spacing ten or stripes with dry powder inside a mold. As many as twenty stripes have been observed on some specimens (see No. 3). Some are "ne-aki" (twisted), an effect achieved while the beads are still hot in the molds. This string, on cotton, would be typical regalia. |
