Miti Metee.  The term translates as "mixed quality".  Includes a number of
named styles, such as "hengme" (eye) and "kashin zomo", a Hausa term
meaning "excrement of rabbit".  The "hengme" are made with pre-formed eyes.
The "kashin zomo" (a term not used by Krobos) is small fragments of
European beads of many colors.  "Powa", "obuo-so", "kwau", and other old
styles, including old European beads, can be mixed in as well.
Kwau.  Standard "kwau" has both vertical and horizontal lines.  The horizontal
layers are set first and the action of making the vertical stripes yields a combed
effect.  This style is also called "kente" after the traditional woven cloth popular
among Akan and other groups in the area.  The Kwau or Kwahu people are one of
the Akan groups bordering Kroboland to the west.  It is said the Kwahu preferred
these and other related black beads and would trade food for them.
Smaller polychrome "kwau".
